Alongside creating, producing and delivering the development’s opening show, we were commissioned to design an interactive experience that extended throughout the Xi’an Tree itself — guiding both domestic and international visitors through a sequence of beautifully landscaped biomes, from the base of the structure to its highest levels.

We developed a layered narrative designed to engage audiences of all ages. Historical artefacts, cultural stories and insights into the ancient Silk Road sat alongside more playful moments, including discoverable and collectable creatures, allowing education and exploration to coexist within a single journey.

The experience was delivered through visitors’ own mobile devices, with Bluetooth technology triggering location-specific content as they moved between biomes.

Each environment became a new chapter, revealing stories, characters and information directly connected to the landscape around them.

A dedicated voice guide was also created as an audible companion throughout the experience, connecting the individual biomes into one continuous narrative and revealing their relationship to the people, places, ecology and extraordinary history of the ancient Silk Road.
